Starting of the Refresher course on Geoinformatics for Hydrological Modeling
Departure of two CGIS staff for master studies at ITC (the Netherlands)
Our IT coordinator Ms Coco RULINDA and one of our GIS officers Jean Pierre Bizimana will spend 18 months in ITC (Enschede, the Netherlands) for master study, respectively in Geoinformatics and in Urban plannning.
Arrival of Prof. Dr. Kurt BRASSEL from Zurich University
Prof. Dr. Kurt BRASSEL will be assisting the CGIS-NUR for one year and a half in teaching, research, and many other fields. Welcome to him!
Closing ceremony of the Refresher Course on GeoInformatics for Hydrological Modeling
Prof. Chrysologue KARANGWA, the rector of the National University of Rwanda will officially close the refresher course and deliver the certificates to the international participants.
Field visit of the Bulera and Ruhando lakes and of the Rugezi wetland
In the framework of the Refresher course on GeoInformatics for Hydrological Modeling, the team of international participants and some members of the CGIS-NUR team visited these sites of high importance in terms of watershed management and its direct impact on the electricity production.
On-the-job training on remote sensing for Forestry
